ALL INDIA MANGO SHOW - 2002

          The Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA), Chittoor has organized the All India Mango Show-2002 from 3rd to 5th June 2002 at Little Flower English Medium School, CHITTOOR. The entire Programme was jointly organized with Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. of India, Directorate of Horticulture, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh and ATMA, Chittoor. coordinated by the Project Director, ATMA, Chittoor.

3.5.2002 :  Receipt of Entries

          Entries, Comprising of fruits, bye-products, High Yielding grafts were registered both from  Private and Government orgnaisations. 11 stalls of Horticulture related activities like drip system, Nurseries, Fertilizers & Commercial Products were also  put up by the Private parties in the open space.          

Judging of Exhibit 

          Judging of the entries was done with the judges duly invited from the Fruit Research Stations, Koduru, Indian Institute of Horticulture Research, Bangalore, Acharya N.G.Ranga Agriculture University, Tirupati.

4.5.2002: Inauguration

         The Show was inaugurated Sri.Vadde Sowbanadreeswara Rao, Hon’ble Minister for Agriculture, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh and then kept open for the Public. The Hon’ble Minister has gone through all sections of the entries. A public meeting was held by the Hon’ble Minister for which the VIPs, Public Representatives & Officials were also co-chaired in the meeting.

          In the afternoon a Seminar was conducted  duly inviting the subject matter specialists on the subjects of “processing, Agri-Export Zone, Technology up gradation” presided over by the Hon’ble Minister for Agriculture and about 60 participants actively involved in the discussions. In the evening a Cultural Programme of “Glimpses of Indian Folk Dances” was also organized from 6:30P.M. to 8:30P.M duly inviting the artists from Sowmithri School of Fine Arts, Hyderabad.

5.5.2002:

          On this day Forenoon also a Seminar was held on “Crop production technologies, venier grafting of Mango and post harvest technology”. The session was chaired by the Scientists and  about 50 participants were actively interacted in the discussions. In the afternoon a Valedictory function was held, for which the VIPs & Officials chaired the programme and distributed the prizes for the awardees as per the selection list.

All India Mango Show-2002 SOUVENIR

           A Souvenir was prepared covering the events of All India Mango Show-2002 and contribution of Technical Messages from the Experts and valuable messages from the Honoured people.

           Sri N.Chandrababu Naidu, Hon’ble Chief Minister of A.P. has released the All India Mango Show-2002 Souvenir  during his visit to Tirupati on 14th September,2002. The Hon’ble Ministers and District Collector & Chairman, ATMA also graced the occasion.
